IGNOU Revaluation Result Not Updated: Where to Check and What to Do Next
Quick answer
If your IGNOU re-evaluation result is available but the Grade Card has not changed, treat those as two separate records. First confirm the re-evaluation result on the official result service. Then check the Grade Card for the same course. If the re-evaluation result and Grade Card continue to disagree, save both records and raise a focused result-update query.
Follow the re-evaluation record in order
- Confirm that the original TEE result was declared.
Re-evaluation is linked to an already declared eligible term-end exam result. - Check the official Re-evaluation/Result service.
Use IGNOU Term-End / Re-evaluation Results for the relevant exam session. - Check the Grade Card separately.
Open IGNOU Grade Card and compare the same programme and course code. - Record any mismatch.
If the re-evaluation result has changed but the Grade Card still shows the older record, save dated screenshots of both.
Do not compare different courses or sessions
| Check | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Course code | A similar course title can belong to a different course code. |
| TEE session | Re-evaluation is tied to the exam attempt/session you applied for. |
| Programme code | The Grade Card must be opened for the correct programme. |
| Old vs re-evaluated mark | This shows whether the result service itself has changed. |
If the re-evaluation result changed but the Grade Card did not
Do not submit another re-evaluation application for the same reason. The problem you are trying to solve is now a record-reflection mismatch, not a request to re-check the answer script again.
Keep the re-evaluation application/payment acknowledgement if available, the new result record and the current Grade Card. Contact the result/student evaluation route and describe the exact mismatch.
What if no re-evaluation result appears?
First confirm that your application was successfully submitted for the correct course and session. Use the official Re-evaluation service and result page. Do not invent a fixed result date. Processing can differ, and the official portal is the record that matters.
When to use iGRAM
If you have a complete application record and a clear mismatch that is not resolved through the normal Student Evaluation route, use iGRAM. Attach only the pages needed to show the old/new result and Grade Card issue.
Example: “Re-evaluation result for course X shows the revised mark, but the Grade Card still shows the previous mark.”
If the whole course still shows incomplete, use the Grade Card missing-component guide when it is published. For more help, browse IGNOU Guides, Programmes and the Vidyanik Blog.
